Maybe Sit This One Out

When was the last time you dressed up for a night on the town?  When was the last time you drove for an hour or maybe two through traffic after a long day at work?  When was the last time you subjected yourself to loud noises and a crowded space? When was the last time you ordered an alcoholic beverage and then began to make multiple monetary decisions?  When was the last time you did all of these things on the same night? It was probably the last time you went to a Casino? Let me ask you one more question. When was the last time you did all of these things, went to the casino and were sick?  Hopefully never!

Responsible casino gambling can be fun and exciting.  Casino play, while entertaining is stressful and challenging to the average person.  As a result, concentration and attention must be employed to stay focused. Focus is essential to gambling responsibly! In order to stay focused, people must use a lot of energy.  Energy is the one thing that is lacking when people are sick. When your body is fighting an infection, it has reduced energy to focus and concentrate. This is why we stay home from school or skip work when we are not feeling up to par.  Why is it then that some continue to visit casinos when they are sick?

The answer may lie in the fact that gambling produces an emotional high that masks many things including pain, emotional stress, and  fear. As a result, gambling is a type of panacea for being sick. However, be careful! Bad decisions are always made when our energy levels run low.  Our advice…stay home and read a book.
